Visa-Port

Three deliverables for a Saida visa agency: the visa-port.com website, the portal.visa-port.com agency terminal with OCR + MRZ passport checks and Stripe, Whish, bank and cash payments, and the Visa Port Android app.

LiveYear: 2026Next.js 16Laravel 13Expo 54 / React Native 0.81OCR + MRZ verification

Problem

Visa-Port is a Lebanese visa and immigration agency in Saida, filing applications since 1995: three decades of paper files, walk-in applicants and partner agencies phoning in requests. Growth meant more staff, not more capacity.

The brief: put the whole operation online — applicants, documents, payments and partner agencies — without losing the personal service the agency is known for. It became three deliverables on one platform.

Deliverables

  1. visa-port.com — public website Static multilingual site (English, Arabic, French, Spanish): destination picker, services, and the application start that leads into the portal. Hosted by Devign.
  2. portal.visa-port.com — agency portal and white-label terminal Next.js 16 front end and Laravel 13 API: application tracking, three-layer OCR + MRZ passport check, per-field applicant chat, invoicing with Stripe, Whish, bank transfer and cash, partner sub-agencies with branded applicant portals; three plans quoted on request with a 14-day trial.
  3. Visa Port — Android app Expo SDK 54 / React Native 0.81: start an application, scan a passport with the camera, upload documents, chat with an advisor, track status. On Google Play as com.devign.visaport since April 2026.

What we built

  • Passport verification in three layers — a client-side aspect and face check, server-side colour entropy, then Tesseract MRZ reading with a multilingual keyword match, so a bad scan is caught before an advisor sees it.
  • Applications and documents — tracking across 250 countries, 90+ visa types and 18 categories (the portal's own catalogue), document upload, and applicant chat per field.
  • Payments — invoicing with Stripe, Whish, bank transfer and cash.
  • White-label B2B engine — partner sub-agencies run branded applicant portals on the same terminal; three plans quoted on request, each with a 14-day trial.
  • Public website — visa-port.com in English, Arabic, French and Spanish, with a destination picker and the application start.
  • Android app — Expo SDK 54 / React Native 0.81; camera passport scan with automatic field extraction, uploads, advisor chat and status tracking.
  • Data — hosted on Devign's server in Germany; passport numbers encrypted at rest, as the portal's FAQ states.

Outcome

3
surfaces: website, agency portal, Android app
  • Live at visa-port.com (footer “Powered by devignlb.com”) and portal.visa-port.com (header “Visa Port × Devign”); the Android app is on Google Play as com.devign.visaport, released 21 April 2026.
  • The client's own published figures: 30 years in Lebanon, 250 countries filed, 12k+ travellers served, 97% approval rate — theirs, not ours.
  • The portal is a multi-agency product: Devign holds the Play listing and the support email, and other agencies can be onboarded on it.
